On Friday 18 January 2019, at 10:00 a.m., after many years of difficult fight against lateral adenoid sclerosis, Janusz Kozioł – “King VHS”. This morning, the portal polscylectors.pl informed about the death of an outstanding Polish speaker.
Mr Janusz has given his voice since the early 1970s. In 1973 he began working as a radio announcer at the Polish Radio studio, and since the 1980s he “showed himself” on Polish television antennas lending his talent in feature and serial films reading dialogue paths to them.
A few days ago, a call was made on the Internet by the teacher and his family to help them obtain funds for medicines and special care, which received a positive response. A significant amount was quickly collected, repeatedly multiplying the amount needed. Many people supported the thoughts of Mr Janusz and his family, conveying words of support and encouragement through social media entries.
Karolina Kozioł’s daughter wrote: “Your response to my Father’s appeal – Janusz Kozioł for help in this cruel illness is unbelievable. You have appreciated his work, his voice, who has been visiting your homes for years. Due to the fact that the collected amount exceeds the threshold many times, I would like to inform you that all funds that will not be used for the purpose described in the collection, specifically – assistance and support for Janusz Kozioł – will be donated for charity and social purposes. They will support associations and foundations involved in providing assistance to patients on the SLA and their families, promoting information on and combating the disease. On behalf of Dad, thank you all for your support, for your good heart, your words of encouragement and prayer.”
“It is not known why the disease occurs and there is no cure. There is only a miracle,” wrote Janusz Kozioł, when he could no longer speak.
